Not everyone seeks the whole tourist experience when visiting wine country. If you’re ever in California’s San Luis Obispo County, you should check out the city Paso Robles because there’s a special winery that offers wine-tasting enthusiasts an option for camping outdoors.  

Alta Colina winery and Tinker Tin Trailer Co. partnered together to offer a camping option within the vineyard. This isn’t a rough-and-gritty tent camping experience. You’re housed in a trailers that are complete with vintage outdoor awning and chairs, fresh linens and towels, a Tempur-Pedic mattress, cookware, and firewood. Situated in front of your front door is a pond. Hence the name Trailer Pond.

What’s a camping experience without hiking? The winery has opened their property to allow individuals to explore their vineyards. Coming soon: hiking maps so people know where to explore.

And what’s a winery visit without wine-tasting? Upon check-in, visitors are treated to a complimentary tasting of the Rhône-inspired estate wines. Individuals can book special wine tours, VIP tasting and other luxury services.
